Midtown: Pershing Viaduct, Snowy Day

Even the gloom of a freezing, drab, and snowy day can't dim the grandeur of Grand Central Terminal. 

If you have a lens with a little reach, a good place to shoot Grand Central Terminal head-on is from the traffic island in Park at the south side 40th Street. Pershing Viaduct, which carries Park Avenue around Grand Central, picks up from the norths side of 40th, so I shot this image at 135mm, more or less safe from being run over by a river of yellow taxis.
