Here is a unique opportunity to learn and practice all aspects of capture and photographic composition at Housewerks Salvage. This business has an enormous and eccentric collection of items of all kinds of salvaged architectural and industrial items. The company's building itself, built in 1885 as the headquarters of The Chesapeake Gas Company of Baltimore City, is visually intriguing by itself, and a subject for great photos.
Professional photographers Fred Silber and Steve Rosenbach will be your instructors, taking you on tour of the premises to help you home in on interesting subjects, choose the best angles and framing, and give you instant feedback on your compositions. We will be able to photograph pretty much anywhere in the building, and if weather permits, we will go into their yard to photograph the substantial number of items there (see Fred Silber's photo above, taken in the yard.)
This workshop is for all skill levels, from beginner to pro. We’ll be there to teach you anything you need to know, and we’re keeping the workshop small, so that we can spend as much time as needed with you.
