Oreo Skybridge, aka Chelsea Market Skybridge - New York City

Oreo Skybridge, aka Chelsea Market Skybridge - New York City

The "Oreo Way Skybridge" on W 15th Street, so named because it connected the former Nabisco factory, at left to it offices, and because Oreos were invented there. It’s also called Chelsea Market Skybridge, as Chelsea Market now occupies the Nabisco factory building.

This is an elevated, covered bridge that spans West 15th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan, near the High Line and the Meatpacking District. Today it still exists above the street, but it no longer functions as an industrial passageway; parts of it have been repurposed as private office or workspace.

The view here is from the High Line, which is at roughly the same elevation, about 30 feet above street level.
