Pershing Viaduct Road Construction - New York City

In this 15-second exposure taken at the Pershing Viaduct level in front of Grand Central Terminal, the two road repair workers appear ghostly and doubled. The work involved closing, for several hours, Pershing Viaduct, which carries traffic around Grand Central, connecting Park Avenue to Park Avenue South. The distinguished-looking gentleman in front of the large window is Cornelius Vanderbilt, the founder of New York Central Railroad, which eventually led to the construction of Grand Central Terminal in 1913.
