Saturday in the Park! What could be better…except a Photo Workshop with popular photo tour leader and Central Park maven Steve Rosenbach!
On this photo workshop, we’ll explore the visual delights of the southern portion of the “Lower Park,” that is, between Bethesda Terrace (at W 72nd Street) south to Central Park South.
I’ve carefully designed this workshop so as to get the maximum amount of great photo opportunities within about a 3 hour easy walk. I’m limiting the number of people who can attend, so that I can spend time with each of you to help with anything you need in getting really compelling images of the sites that we visit along the way. That can range from basic photo or camera help to assistance with composition and advanced techniques.
During this workshop, we’ll cover most of the south end of the Park, There will be good opportunities for street photography along The Mall, with its many vendors and street performers. As we move further along, we’ll encounter continuously varying, photogenic landscapes, thanks to the brilliance of the Park’s designers over over 150 years ago. You’ll be able to put your own creative stamp on the view of Gapstow Bridge with the Midtown skyline in the background, one of the most iconic scenes in the Park. We’ll cover many of the bridges and arches in this stretch of the Park, each with it’s own unique design and character.
Also, as an added value, you'll be able to send me your photos (or links to them) from this workshop for evaluation and feedback. I'll make comments and suggestions, and in many cases, do some photo editing on your photos to demonstrate how to make a good image even better.
It will be a journey that will delight your sense of color, texture, and proportion as well as refresh your spirit.
